A Little Something About Me

I'm a 46 year-old sister, daughter, friend, aunt, project manager, aspiring photographer, & handy-gal-who's-never-met-a-power-tool-she-didn't-love on a mission. That mission??? To permanently vanquish the additional 75-85 lbs. that I have managed to put on (or re-find) over the last 6+ years. I'm planning to tackle this challenge with a lap band (banded on October 4, 2010), some much needed counseling, and the support of a wonderful blogging community. Welcome to my journey.

  • 196 (no longer obese according to BMI, just overweight)
  • 185 (not seen since 2007 on LA Weight Loss)
  • 169 (weight on wedding 4/4/04)
  • 163 (normal weight per BMI)
  • 155 (old set point weight)
  • 140 (not seen since 5/01 - what my ticker is set for)
  • 138 (former modeling weight - aspirational)
