OMG! I'm tight!

Not sure if this is the result of the 5 Day Pouch Test but I am so tight I can barely eat solids.  This was not my problem a week ago.  Yesterday I went to brunch with a dear friend and after a few bites ended up in the bathroom sliming and hurling (I know - TMI).  It is hugely embarassing.  This friend does not know about my surgery and I am starting to run out of convincing excuses for major swaths of time being spent in the loo.  Today, my lunch does not want to go down.  The frustrating thing is that if I cannot eat anything healthy, I start to look for sliders later to get something down.  I guess I am just going to have to replace the unhealthy sliders with healthy ones like yogurt and cottage cheese.  Some days this band is so frustrating!

On another note, I have been thinking a lot lately about why it seems so much harder to lose weight in my 40s than it was in my 20s and 30s.  Other than my lovely perimenopausal self, I have some theorys and plan to write a blog about it soon.  So, stay tuned.  (That is if there is still anyone out there interested in my rantings ;-)

I can't wait to hear what your thinking :) I think the flattening out of hormones helps and rollercoaster hormones makes me crazy.

I have had both in the last 3 years...the pill kept me on more of an even keel that helped one fill work consistently. When I went off the pill and my hormone fluctuations returned I could never count on a fill being too tight or loose because it changes so much in any given month.

Being that tight stinks! I hope you feel better soon.

I blame it on the pouch test! I hope you loosen up (slightly!) soon. I haven't had that problem yet, since I'm only 3.5 cc's into fills... but I'm worried about how that kind of thing will affect my dating life!

I'm working on catching up so sorry I'm late with this but... The pouch test totally made me seriously tight. For me that was really good!! I had to be really careful, but I was able to eat most thing - but I had to go seriously seriously slowly and sometimes that meant - I'd have 3 bites of chicken and that was it. I'd have some more later.

I'm actually looking forward to doing it again - I think it really helped remind me I can do what I want to do - I am in control. I'm thrilled you finished all 5 days too!!

I am looking forward to hearing what you've got running around in your brain....

Hey Libby! Just checking in to see how you're doing? Hope the 'too tight' has resolved itself...PB's are NO fun! Good for you for getting through the pouch test...anything that helps us refocus is great. Hope that plateau is in the past now. Keep us posted (and can't wait to meet you at BOOBs!!). -BG

So funny, the exact same thing is happening to me right now. I do not PB very often at all, but this weekend I did, and after that I did all liquids. Well, now I can barely eat anything. I turned to sliders yesterday, but today I am going with the "healthy" sliders, had cottage cheese for breakfast and it was fine.

The other thing that works for me - I can definitely eat more normal food after a few glasses of wine. So that works for "social" events, but naturally I can't be doing that all the time (or before breakfast and lunch!!!)

Excited to be your roomie and meet you soon!

I am newly banded and haven't had a fill yet. On one of the blogs i read where she took Papaya enzyme to get something unstuck. I went and picked it up, i did use it one time, worked great. I can't wait to read more. I love learning things from you guys. The professionals. HA
