Got my second fill last Wednesday. Started with 4CCs. My oh-so-awesome PA, Dawn, had planned to put in 2 more but the needle started pushing back so I ended up with 1.6CCs. However, after attempting to sip water, I started gurgling and we decided to take .2CCs out leaving me with a grand total of 5.4CCs in my 10CC band.
All in all the fill has been pretty good. After going gangbusters in the weight loss dept. my first month, I really stalled out in month 2 only losing 1.4lbs. Since the fill, I have lost another 2lbs. I am hoping this is a sign of things to come. Only thing is that I need to continuously remind myself to eat sssslllllloooooowwwllllllyyyyyyyy. I have gotten stuck and slimed more times in the last few days than I have in the last 2 months. I believe this is al due to finally have some restriction now and not quite knowing how to work it. Things are getting better though.
In other news, I did my 10K on Sunday in solidarity with Christine over at www.PhoenixRevolution.net. It wasn't bad. I definitely need to set more fitness goals to get me moving! Thanks for the challenge, Christine.
Next blog, I will be telling you why I feel like such a fraud. Tune in then.

Good luck with the new fill. I'm not a lap bander, but I'm trying to eat like I am. I have about 75 pounds to lose, and I am aiming for about 2 pounds a week. How many pounds per week is typical when banded? I have certainly thought about exploring my options.
WAHOOOO! Congrats on the mileage! You did great! I'm proud of you!!! 10K is nothing to scoff at! Are you sore today?
Whenever I got a fill, I would get tighter and tighter, which means that I would barf a little easier and more frequently. To some extent, that's just going to happen. But to another extent, you need to learn to take smaller bites, chew better before swallowing. But you know all of this already!! It sounds like you are on track and doing well. Keep it up missy!
my 2nd fill is in jan. but i can tell i really need another one...eating the hinges off the pantry! ugh... hope all is going well for you and you're getting closer to making the magic happen. looking forward to the fraud post!!! i so feel like one right now too.
Not knowing how to work restriction--I'm dealing with a lot of that these days. It's one thing to read about it and quite another to actually experience it.
Congrats on teh 10K...that is awesome!
Hey Libby, congrats on the 10K! How are you doing with the new fill?
Hi again. Sliming once a day sounds like a lot to me, but I'm not much of a slimer. This whole 15 months I've slimed maybe 8-10 times total. But other people get it regularly and deal with it. I'm thinking I'll go back to Denver after the holidays for a fill. I do have some restriction, just not ideal. I don't really want to switch fill docs if I can avoid it -- I just need to be sure to get Dawn!
BTW that receptionist was totally negative, glad they got rid of her. Not the right person for a WLS office at all! We need someone who tells us how great we're doing when we walk in the office, right!
I'll let you know when I plan my fill and hopefully we can get together this time. Hope you don't need that unfill!
You're doing great!! Keep up the great work. Why are you a fraud???
